City/town information

This a beautiful historic city. Its been featured in many historical films and documentaries. Great views down into the city from a nearby park . Alexandra Park . You can drive in and look out for view on the left . Leave car behind and a 20 min walk takes you into the city . Recommend you book a guided Lord Mayors guide ( free) or take a guided bus such as red Toot toot bus up to Royal Crescent to get your bearings. Walks along river or canal are also highly recommended. There are river cruises from Pultney bridge which I can also recommend.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Taxis

Easy to access .. should be about £8 one way . There are various guide buses that give a good flavour of Bath and its history . They are hop on and hop off buses. Suggestion take Toot Toot bus up to Royal Crescent . Parking can be expensive. If you want to take your car in suggest you try parking at The Bird or at least park next to it . £5 for the day. If you like cycling running or walking lovely woodland walks from bottom of drive . The Two tunnels Sustran cycle way is about 200 yds from Robins nest . If you were to bring bikes you can easily access Bristol or Bradford upon Avon.
