Food scene

This restaurant is a lovely place for a Spanish tapas treat. There are 2 sittings - lunch and evening and both are set menus. Lunch is cheaper than dinner and the value and taste for both are spot on. They offer a vegetarian or meat set menu. Highly recommended.

The Tayberry is literally one minute from our place. It’s more expensive than other places in the Ferry but try it for a treat. Try to book the upstairs window table for a lovely romantic spot overlooking the dunes and the Tay!

This place is lovely - 2 brothers own it and the pizzas are made freshly to order and cooked v.quickly in the pizza oven. Bottled beers and soft drinks also served. There are also some nostalgic video games inside for playing free of charge and the vibe is bright and fresh inside. They also do take-away but we have only ever sat in for food. Recommend :)

Flower Shop

The ladies who run this shop on Brook Street are just lovely and kind and helpful and will do anything for you. Lovely to buy yourself some flowers whilst staying in Broughty Ferry or for someone special as a treat. Highly recommend these guys. They always make us smile!

Local authentic Ferry Pub

This a special local spot where they host live music every Thursday evening. Anyone with an instrument interested in playing can just turn up on the night and can play and join in the music fun. If you don't want to play, we recommend you go along for food and the brilliant atmosphere. Booking a table is recommended though as it is always busy. There is a secret beer garden out the back too for warmer weather.

Old school department store

Gillies is a lovely local family old school department store that is worth a wander. Come stay with us in December sometime when they host their famous Christmas window, it’s ALWAYS a delight to see for both young and old!

Handy for picking up bits and pieces without having to go all the way into Dundee. Just about 10 mins walk from our place and on BF High Street.

Handy for any forgotten items - it is an express store so quite small but has most items you might need. Also on BF High Street and slightly closer than the M&S Food Court.

This is a lovely independent fruit and veg shop on Gray Street by the train station. They also do lots of organic produce and lovely freshly baked loafs. A little more expensive than your high street shops but understandable being an independent store.
