Take a short drive from the house to the E 8th Ave. entrance for a less crowded parking experience. Park Rd. & E 8th Ave. dead end, you will see an entry gate.

A really close park and trail system to take the dog for a walk, or just stroll around and enjoy nature.
To avoid parking crowds and take a little known entrance into the trails, park at the corner of S Mt. Vernon St. and E Mt. Vernon Dr. and take the trail up into the park.

Lincoln Park

To avoid parking crowds and take a little known entrance into the trails, park at the corner of S Mt. Vernon St. and E Mt. Vernon Dr. and take the trail up into the park.
One of our favorite golf courses in the area. Such a beautiful treed course with a good variety of holes. Reservations can be made online through the Indian Canyon website.

Food scene
Our favorite brewery in Spokane! A short drive or an excellent bike ride from the house through neighborhood roads.
No food service, but often they have food trucks and always let you bring your own food into the brewery. We recommend any of the barrel aged beers!
They have a winter farmer's market that runs every other Sunday December-March.

This is my favorite place in Spokane to get brunch, but the dinner is AMAZING as well! They only serve brunch on Sundays 10a-2p, so it can be difficult to get in. You'll need to make a reservation through Open Table at their sister restaurant Inland Pacific Kitchen (where the brunch is actually served)

If you go for dinner, you will eat in Hogwash itself which is a super cool dungeon-y vibe (it's underground) and the food is incredible (not your average bar food) Take a look at the menu!

Great little coffee shop in the Perry District serving scratch made food and baked goods. Lots of gluten free options, and a dog friendly patio. Located right next to a big park. I like to get coffee and walk through the park with my dog on a nice sunny day!
