This is hands down one of the best museums I have ever visited. It is truly world class. Features displays of historic cars not found anywhere else in the world and hundreds of period fashion pieces. Well-informed docents offer interesting facts about the displays as you browse. If you love cars, or fashion, or Alaska history, or fabulous quirky museums, don't miss this one!

For the adventurous, this is a fair drive from town but the atmosphere is a true Alaskan experience. The bar/restaurant is in a large log cabin. Has sit down dining, a bar, dance floor, pool tables, video games, and lots of history and character. Recommend calling ahead to make sure they are open and serving food.
