A popular bar on Gracia's most central street with a large selection of Basque-style pintxos and tapas. Recommendation: try the entraña pintxo, the eggplant chips and a glass/bottle of Txacoli (white wine). Gasterea gets very crowded around dinner time and though there is normally some room at the back, you might not be lucky enough to find an bar stool.

One of the best places around for typical catalán food. There's a good selection of meat and fish, and delicious grilled veggies (and some other options) for vegetarians. The Sangria is also very nice. A lunch menu is available on weekdays. On weekends it's advisable to book in advance. Always ask to be seated in the big dining room ("el comedor grande").
