Coca Cafe- featuring a menu of local and seasonal ingredients, but catch them early because they are only open for breakfast and lunch. I'm a big fan of their freshly squeezed juices mixed with champagne.

Piccalo Forno- a spectacular Italian restaurant! Delicious wood fired pizzas and fresh pasta dishes. You can't go wrong with any choice you make. (Also, BYOB). After dinner head behind the restaurant to their bar, Grapparia, to try out a large selection of Italian Grappa.

Smallman Galley is AMAZING. It is a really cool restaurant concept which actually is 4 restaurants in one. It is like a farmers market restaurant. There is 4 spaces for 4 different chefs to rent out to cook their food in a space. This concept allows aspiring chefs to have a space to cook their food while not having to actually buy a restaurant. Every 6 months the restaurant changes.

Heading down town you will want to definitely try out Take which is one of my all time favorite places. It is a Japanese influenced Tako place. Tako in Japanese means Octopus, so, their signature tako is of course is a grilled octopus leg. YUM!!

Sightseeing

I HIGHLY recommend heading down to the strip district which is about a mile from my house. It is full of street vendors, markets, farmers markets and all sorts of stuff. You definitely want to go to the famous Wholey’s Fish Market. Get fresh sushi or take home some amazingly fresh seafood to cook at home. Also in the strip district is the world famous Primanti Brothers (the original one). Try Pittsburgh's famous sandwich piled high with meat cheese slaw and tomato. Don't forget to load it up with hot sauce to be just like a Pittsburgher.
