Appledore is a quaint fishing village with an artistic bent. It has some great places to eat as well as a few galleries. A couple of hours either side of high tide during summer you may be able to get a ferry over the estuary to the village of Instow. A rising tide is also good for crabbing - my kids loved baiting their crabbing nets with bacon and looking at the crabs they caught in a bucket before returning them to the sea.

Best fish and chips around - you can take away and eat on the quay if the weather is good or eat in. Alternatively, you can take to the Royal pub opposite and enjoy with a pint 👍🏻

Best burgers around (Properly good quality) can be had at the burger van on the green (Not Monday or Tuesday) 4-7 ish. I recommend the blue cheese burger and the amazing dirty fries. If the weather is good lovely place to hang out as sun sets.

No sea view here but lovely rural setting for this pub and you can walk from my place for good food and drinks. Outdoor play area for kids too. Book for food.
