It’s an Amazonian lake with fresh dark colour (plankton) water immersed in the natural reserve of Algodoal. 2 miles away from the propriety.

You can go for a long walk along the sea to visit another beautiful fishermen island - Fortalezinha. It’s 4 miles walk during the low tight. From there you can take a motorbike or horse to cross it and take a boat from Camboinha to Algodoal. Then either you take a carriage to go back to Princesinha Beach or you walk 1 mile. With high tight you take a cannoa to cross the Garapana river.

Take the canoe (15 rais one way) from Algodoal port. It takes only 20 min to get to Camboinha (one of Maiandeua’s archipelago islands). From Camboihna you can walk for 2 hours following the trail inside the forest and dunes until you reach Fortalezinha. You can also take a horse carriage or motor taxi to reach Fortalezinha. It’s a beautiful trip inside the natural reserve. You can see different birds species such as: guará, heron, peacock, socó, taquerê, hawk (caranguejeiro), caracarai, mangrove chive, matrão, spoonbill, teal, parrot, harvester batuíra, white curlew, fat pirão and turn-stone.
