Koukounaries beach is a very safe sandy beach situated a short walk from the main road. The beach is lined with rows of sun beds and parasols which are available to hire for €8 a day. There are several beach bars/cafes along the length of the beach. Toilets, showers and changing rooms are also available. Look out for the white and black swans which frequent both the beach and the sea, along with numerous ducks.

Don't miss
great beaches
If you are nor renting a car take advantage of the taxi boats from the old port that take you to many beaches and it doesn't cost much.But we suggest to rent a car at least for 3 days to see the Northern part of Greece as the beaches there are amazing.if you are going try to visit: ELIAS beach, Mandraki Beach, Aselinos, Kehria try the taverna there the food is great.
Very close to the house find Agios Nicholaos in the evening for the most amazing views. Also try one of the day trips to tsougria island or even the Mama Mia tour that takes you to skopelos.
