A quirky seaside town that has just been voted coolest place to live. Independent shops and eateries in the town and a lovely, newly refurbished prom along the seafront. Lots of parking at Wharfside carpark. Be sure to walk down chapel street to see the Egyptian House frontage and spot the lookout on the Admiral Benbow's roof.

Not quite a casino...but what seaside holiday isn't complete without a little spin on the 2p machines?! Pop next door to Frasers to pick up fish and chips to eat on the prom (watch out for seagulls!)

Traveler advice

Getting around

Open Top Buses - part of First Bus Service

Great way to see lots of the county. These buses are part of the First Bus service that run the buses in the South West. Adult ticket is £5 each for the whole day or £20 for 7 days, hop on and off as you please on any First Bus (not just the open top ones). Pick up a timetable and map at any tourist stand. Dogs welcome on buses. Cannot hype enough how this is a great way to get around the place without having to worry about parking! I really recommend the Atlantic Coaster route.
