This is the only Zoo built into the side of a mountain. Ranked # 4 in the U.S! Bring good walking shoes, sunscreen, and drink lots of water! Don’t miss the fried Oreos located near the carousel. Look for the red trolly car that serves snacks.

You can drive to the top or take the COG railway. The road is not for the faint of heart if you are afraid of heights! The Summit House Complex is due to reopen June 30th. The former gift/ food complex is closed. There are typically high winds and expect it to be quite chilly. Bring a sweatshirt/ coat even in the summer months!

The former gift/ food complex is closed. There are typically high winds and expect it to be quite chilly. Bring a sweatshirt/ coat even in the summer months!
Just reopened- brand new COG. If you love trains, the COG railway is for you. It is a 3 hour RT that takes you to the top of Pikes Peak. Although it’s not far from the home, leave early to find parking. Book in advance online. $58/ adult.

To really cool down, book a cave tour at caveofthewinds.com. I personally really enjoyed the tour. It is located approximately 15 min from the home.

You don’t need to be a guest to visit this beauty! They offer a parking garage $12/ for 10 hours. Spend time walking through the resort, exploring the outdoor lakes, and magnificent landscaping. Many eating areas that include fine dining or casual dining. The Golden Bee is the most affordable and casual. Suggest making a reservation.
