The only bar in Portland with a famous cocktail. Portland’s oldest restaurant. A former employer of mine. Owned multigenerationally by a cool family.

It’s a chain from Colorado, but still a good place to be social. Has karaoke rooms, shuffleboard, pool, bowling, and pinball! Bonus: it’s on the top floor of a shopping mall that also has a multiplex theater.

It’s a zoo! Even if you don’t want to pay the ticket price you can go past the front gate and check out the shops, snack stands, and mountain goat exhibit. Take the bikes on the Max and zoobomb when you’re done! (Careful, not too fast, now.) Pro tip: visit the rose garden on the way back to Lovejoy.
