Sightseeing

This is an awesome hidden gem. On Saturdays you can ride the elevator for a small fee and actually go into the clock tower. They tell about the history of the building. The rest of the tower is filled with working artist studios who let you watch them work and sometimes give samples. This is one of my favorite things to take out of towners to do.

The second oldest zoo in the nation. The Baltimore zoo is awesome. From city sights to sudden deep woods, this surprising treasure is worth the visit. It's not too large and great for small children. It has a train ride, interactive exhibits, and the food is actually really good too. Only a few miles from here, great easy parking, and next to Rawlings Conservatory and Druid Hill Park.

Historic

Francis Scott Key wrote the words to what would become the star spangled banner at this historic landmark. It's very well done and also not too intense if you have small children.

It's been renovated so you can go inside. It's a tight high climb but very cool to experience. Only about 4 people can go up at a time.

A taste of Dublin right here in Baltimore. I've been to the Guinness factory in Ireland- it's amazing, and our local one brings the same high standards to the experience.

Walking distance. Great food and locally brewed beer. It's got three vibes; a fancy dinner room, casual tables and socializing, and more of a gritty after hours basement.
