Food Scene

Good coffee, and some nice breakfast & lunch options. A lot of outside seating, about 5 tables inside. If you cannot get space check out The Coffee Pedaler (East St., New Haven; ~10m walk); Blue State Coffee (Orange St; ~10-15m walk) or Koffee (about 15-20m walk). Fussy Coffee is a long way away but (IMHO) is probably the best coffee around.

Excellent Pizza. If getting a pizza for one, order the 'Personal' size (usually around $10). You can bring your own drinks, they do not sell alcohol, or you can take the pizza around the corner to the brewery. You can also order online via the One6Three app.. if you sign up in the app, they often email you discount codes. Lovely bit smallish indoor seating and more (great) outdoor seating in summer.

Nice restaurant/bar which gets extremely busy. They serve good pizza and have a nice beer selection. It really packs out on Friday and Saturday nights so can be a bit of a wait, though there are also a lot of alternate restaurants along this strip.

Main NH vegetarian restaurant. Nice atmosphere and staff, deserts great, mains v healthy but often pretty bland. G Zen in Branford (vege/vegan) is another option (and is really amazing), though it’s a 15 min drive and a sig. price hike from Claire’s
