Visit the brewery for a locally brewed beer in the afternoons. The owners, Jake and Patrick, are the best! You can either bring outside food or order from the food truck outside. Tell them I sent ya.

Sporty's (as the locals call it) is great for classic food all day every day, but if you can catch it on a Friday or Saturday for the dinner specials, you don't want to miss it. Jesse, the owner, is an incredible chef and prepares some out-of-this-world dishes. The burgers are amazing too.

Sightseeing

Weather permitting, hiking the the top of the prominent Quartzite Mountain that can be seen from town is a fun hike. Drive towards the ski hill on Flowery Trail Road, then take a right on Mud Lake road. The road can be rutted and muddy for a few miles so make sure your vehicle is appropriate. The small trailhead sign can be seen on the right near a few parking spots. The hike up can be steep in parts, but is only 3 miles roundtrip. The view at the top of the valley and town of Chewelah is quite lovely.
