Neighborhoods

We are in a very interesting spot. The main intersection of M and Wisconsin is 1.5 blocks from our building. That means we are in the heart of Georgetown, which is great for walking. Yet, it is very quiet in our unit and our building. Our neighbors are fantastic, inside the building and outside as well. It takes 3 one way streets to get to the building, meaning it is tucked away and not terribly accessible if you don’t know it. Almost everyone always says, “ I never knew this area existed”. And in the past couple years, Grace street (street behind ours) added a coffee shop, juicer, restaurant and a fabulous butcher. I am in love with the location. We often walk over to Lincoln Memorial and Korean Memorial (my faves). I also have a very extensive guide book that I provide. It’s a cool spot that is extremely charming, with great neighbors. I hope you like it as much as I clearly do 😊. Also, I can send you my guest book ahead of time if you are a planner, like me.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Unfortunately Georgetown does not have a train.

Access to the train is closest through Foggy Bottom or DuPont, or across the bridge in Arlington.
