This is a bit out of the way and will take you a full day of travel but it is well worth the visit. This is an old settlement with historic roots in the Great Smoky Mountains. Do a bit of research before you go, it is well worth the trip!!

What a beautiful to hike, picnic, tube or just spend the afternoon relaxing. Bryson City is about a 40 minute drive from here but Deep Creek is a favorite for families.
