Walk on the fishing side of the harbour and flow the coast, past the skate park. A sheltered cove with shingle beach, good for swimming if you don’t want to get in the car. Back in the day this beach was a favourite with smugglers and it is said that somewhere there is a tunnel leading to the nearby Chambercombe Manor. Many tales linked to this beach including shipwrecks and the story of Alfie and the Kaiser.

ust a short drive of about an hours walk along the Torrs on the coastal path. A picturesque village with a lovely rocky beach. Make sure you go at low tide as the tide comes right up the beach. Also, at low tide you can walk through the rocks to the next (sandy) beach to the left. Don”t worry you won”t get caught out if the tide comes in, There are steps to get you back up to the coastal path. Be warned though, there are a lot of them! Worth it for the views at the top.
