This trail is deceptively short but will test your endurance. You will be treated to an excellent view at the top and on a clear day you can see Lanai and Haleakala. The sunrise is excellent.

This is a excellent respite from the busy Manoa Falls trail in the same area. A large area maintained by the University of Hawaii Manoa this arboretum holds many native and indigenous plants. Stop and rest or have a picnic at the sitting spots around the arboretum. Take a light stroll up the main path or hike a couple miles on the more wild paths.
There is no fee to enter here but be sure to leave a generous donation to help maintain this beautiful place.

Take a light stroll up the main path or hike a couple miles on the more wild paths.

Here are some times and distances from our house to local areas of interest: Waikiki 19 miles/35 minutes, Haleiwa 14 miles/30 minutes, Kapolei 12 miles/25 minutes, Kualoa Ranch 30 miles/50 minutes. Keep in mind these times are under good traffic conditions. Things slow down considerably during rush hours and in high tourist areas.
