Only 7 minutes from the house, try to stop in and check out a beautiful, scenic state park! This is a 58 acre state park with hiking trails, caves, a representation of Cordell Hull's log cabin birthplace and period gardens; the Cordell Hull Museum which displays a variety of photographs and artifacts; and an activities center. The park also includes the Hull Library and Archives that houses the entire Cordell Hull Collection consisting of more than 1,500 books and hundreds of original photographs, documents, and three-dimensional objects. The collection includes a replica of his Nobel Peace Prize.The park also features the beautiful Bunkum Cave Loop Trail that leads to an overlook and the actual entrance to the MASSIVE, historic, Bunkum Cave where Cordell Hull's father made moonshine in the 19th century. The trail is rated moderate due to many gentle hills. The hike to the overlook is 3/4 mile (1.5 miles roundtrip), and the hike to the cave entrance is an additional one-half mile (2.5 miles roundtrip).

The actual lake is the biggest reason to come to our cabin. It's beautiful and scenic. The water is clean and the sunsets are incredible.

Dale Hollow Lake has bent grass tees leading to zoysia fairways and large, undulating bent grass greens. The 61 bunkers are framed by zoysia. Most of the holes have moderate to severe elevation changes. Other course features include numerous rock outcroppings, small caves, springs, gorges, two ponds, and mountain views. Bring your camera, this is one of the most scenic courses in the country. Five sets of tees accommodate every level of player.

Boating Marinas
Eagle Cove, Starpoint Marina, and Sunset Marina are all within 15 minutes of the house. Others are listed also!
Starpoint Marina is approximately 9 minutes from the house by land and 15 by water. It has fuel, a bait shop, and an icecream shop during the summer.

This marina is about 90 seconds from the house on Eagle Cove Road. It has fuel and a small store with snacks, bait, and necessities. 2 boat ramps are available and trailer parking if you would like to leave your boat in the water. We always launch at Eagle Cove and the crew here is very friendly. They have kayaks, small fishing boats, pontoons, and houseboat rentals here. (The pontoons here are cheaper than Sunset Marina but they're older and pretty basic).
