The Gladstone Golf Club is one of the most scenic golf venues in the Upper Peninsula. This 18-hole championship course is surrounded by thousands of acres of state forest land with the majestic Days River running through five holes. The 6,456 yard course has huge greens and very narrow fairways that put tee shots and putting at a premium. Sharpen your game on the driving range, putting green, and chipping green. The Club House offers a full bar, light lunches, and the Friday Night Fish Fry open to the public 5 to 9 pm (May-September).

It is one of Delta County’s oldest golf courses. Originally a nine hole course for 38 years, it was expanded to 18 holes in 1968 and was Delta County’s first 18 hole course. The Highland Golf Club is fairly “open” venue with wide fairways and plenty of room for the beginning golfer. However, strategically placed bunkers and trees over the past several years have created a challenge even for the low handicapper. The Highland Golf Club is open to the public, and has been known to carry the label, “the friendliest course around”. We are 7 miles west of Escanaba on US 2 or 4 miles east of the Island Resort and Casino.

Sage Run, designed by Paul Albanese, joins the celebrated Sweetgrass course at the resort for the Hannahville Indian Community, and offers a contrasting style and design. The land at Sage Run is 180 degrees in contrast from its sister course Sweetgrass with its prairie links style. Sage Run, ranked among Golf Digest’s America’s Best New Courses, meanders through beautiful Upper Peninsula hardwoods and open vistas with very dramatic views. A natural drumlin, or elongated hill or ridge formed by glacial ice long ago, is the primary feature on Sage Run. A variety of golf holes meander off of and around the hill offering a scenic variety of shots creating a fun thrill ride for golfers. The challenging combination of long holes with creative short par fours lined with fescue grasses and strategic bunkering will challenge golfers of all abilities.
