Traveler advice
Book before you go
El Yunque National Park
Make your reservations as far in advance as possible, spaces are limited and last-minute reservations are challenging. If you go with a group, look for an organized tour. If you go by car - make a park reservation at https://www.recreation.gov/ticket/facility/300017
Don't miss
Viejo San Juan
A short Uber ride away (under 10 min) or a scenic walk along the coast line (about an hour walking). A must-see for everyone who comes to the Island. Beautifully restored old Spanish town, second oldest in the Americas.
Ways to save
Parking
Park anywhere you see a parking meter, they are not enforced and a great way to know you could park there in Condado. Finding a parking in the area may be easier if you look around the Antonia Quinones park that is one block away on the same Cervantes street. There is always something available.
Getting around
Uber or Skootel
Uber is the best way to ride. However if you are getting around Condado or even going to the Old San Juan, you may consider taking a scooter there. It may as well be the fastest way considering constant traffic along the way to the Old Town. Also a great way to experience the scenic park along the shore line.
