Large bustling town and port sitting on the Mediterranean and also has its own canal running through it. Many of the large fishing trawlers and ferries from North Africa arrive in the port. Beautiful buildings and pleasant restaurants.

Shopping

Marseillan has its own market on a Tuesday morning. The market stalls provide clothing, traditional linens, hats, underwear, bags and even a haberdashery stall amongst many others. It is a lovely market. There are two places to buy general groceries in Marseillan, one in the centre of town, Spar and one just on the edge of town, Carrefour. We have a couple of splendid fruit and vegetable shops and a brilliant butcher too. One of the best boulangeries in town is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment.
