This is a great place to visit. Make sure you see the beautiful Berber museum, with a Good collection of jewellry, handicrafts and tribal clothes as well. The Yves Saint Laurent muséum close by is also well worth a visit.

If you love mountains and forests, this is the place to go. Old Berber culture, walks among villages, stay with the natives... this is the place.

The best outside Marrakesh

My favorite places around Marrakesh
Just half an hour from Marrakesh you will find this lush, green valley, full of typical Berber villages. There is a market well worth visiting every Monday. Further in the valley you will find local restaurants serving traditional mint tea and tagines

The old Pasca palace completely renewed. Well worth seeing, great Moroccan architecture. At the same time make sure you visit Cafe Basha, in the same building. Here you can enjoy more than 200 sorts of different coffees and enjoy this pearl of a café.

This lovely place and Palace once belonged to Si Said, the brother of Ba Hassan and the Grand Vizir of Marrakesh. Renewed and restored a few years ago, it is now the national museum and contains a great collection of old carpets.
