Small and quiet botanic garden in the concrete jungle of the 8th district. It is more than 150 years old, don't expect it to be modern, but it has a certain charm about it. (And it is still used by the university.) To get here, take Metro 3 from Deák Ferenc tér and get off at Klinikák station. The 8th district is not the safest one in the city, watch out for your belongings!

This is a "lunch market hall", a newly renovated market hall where you can grab a quick lunch. You'll find the eateries on the upper floor, where new places open up every week. There are lot of options, especially if you are not on a diet. Try lángos (a deep fried dough served with sour cream and cheese) at Fritú, or go for a seasonal traditional Hungarian dish, such as a főzelék (vegetable stew) with sausages at "A Séf utcája" (The Chef's Street) or Lakatos Műhely.
