This is a lovely, family-run cafe near Colliers Wood station with great bagels, paninis and cakes. I go most Saturdays and there is a very nice community feel to the place. I can definitely recommend the chocolate brownies!

I haven’t been here myself but have heard good things about the pancakes and waffles. It’s located in Merton Abbey Mills so very close to the apartment if you’d like to go out for breakfast.

I haven’t been here but have been meaning to for ages as their sushi has incredible reviews with some people saying it’s the best they’ve had in London.

An authentic Thai restaurant in Merton Abbey Mills. Delicious food (not the biggest portion sizes), good service and nice setting.

A great pub near the station. Fun atmosphere and great beer garden. Sometimes in the summer they do BBQs and the food is great! I’ve also heard good things about their Sundays roasts. There is also sometimes live music.

Morden Hall Park is a National Trust treasure that is not to be missed! Whether you want to take a walk in nature, have a snack at one of the cafes, or shop for unique gifts in the National Trust shop or garden centre, there is something for everyone! The setting is beautiful and it's free to enter the park. Well worth the visit. I’m very lucky to live so close to the park.

This small weekend market is a few minutes walk from the flat and specialises in arts and crafts, books, furniture and jewellery. The market takes place in the former textile mills that were once the home of the silk-printing works for famous Regent Street store Liberty’s. The mills ceased operation in 1970 and lay empty till 1989, when they were converted into a cultural visitor centre. The market opens every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5pm. There are some nice places to eat and drink in Merton Abbey Mills with outdoor seating.
