Down a Country Road

My grandmother grew up about an hour south of Senoia in a town called Warm Springs. I love making the drive down because it's relaxing, incredibly scenic, and there are several great stops along the way. Crank up 'Seldom Scene' on the radio, sit back, and get ready for a relaxing trip down a country road.
Truly a step back in time. Roosevelt spent much of his political career traveling to Warm Springs because he felt the water beneficial for his polio. His home (where he died) is truly a time capsule -- even his toilet paper is still hanging on the wall!

The Shed at Fitzgerald Fruit Farms has year-round delicious goodies, but is best known for its juicy peaches. You can sit on a rocking chair under the farm stand and look out on acres and acres of rolling orchard. Pro-Tip: while you're there order a large helping of soft serve peach ice ream -- you won't regret it!

Sometimes I get such a strong hankering for biscuits and rolls from The Bulloch House that we stop everything and make the drive. I love everything about this place -- the food hits all the right southern points. Buy a slice of carmel cake to-go; it's great for breakfast!

This place is a quick-stop, but is fun nonethless. Bring some quarters so you can buy fish food to throw into the lake!

Whenever we come here, I feel like i'm at a 1940's summer camp. The pool is filled with spring water and is super refreshing on a hot summer day.
