This is owned by the National Trust, but is free to visit. At the top of the steep sided valley, is a pub The Hunters Inn, with good food & drink. It is a beautiful, approx 1 mile walk to the cove from where you can see the south coast of Wales.

This steep valley was formed by glaciation during the ice age. From the top it has stunning views of the Bristol Channel, with a more leisurely costal path the seaward side of the rock formation. Look for the famous 'White Witch' and feral goats.

Many cycle trails you can follow, along the coast (old railway lines, so easy cycling) with cycle hire at Barnstaple & Bideford. This is named after Tarka The Otter, written by Henry Williamson, which was based around this area.

There are very steep access roads into Lynmouth with stunning views into & out of this beautiful village. In 1952 there was a disastrous flood that washed away some half of the village. It now has shops, hotels, & pubs. Across a bridge is a lovey beach with cliffs behind.
