Food Scene

Delicious food and wonderful bakery - the cinnamon rolls are large enough to share. On warm days you can eat on the patio on the waterfront.

You can watch your pizza being baked while sipping a beer from their extensive offerings. Outdoor seating is available but on a cool night we like to try to get a table inside by the fireplace.

There are hiking trails at the park, but we usually drive to the top for stunning views over Puget Sound and the Skagit Valley.

Our favorite park just a few miles west of LaConner. Parking is limited right off the road. Then a walk down the gravel road and between two bodies of water leads to an island with a gravel road, a level path on the south side, and a scenic hiking trail on the north side. They both lead to a wonderful beach. There is a large level field for playing of picnics. Washington Discovery Pass required or $10 day pass.

Sightseeing

A visit to LaConner isn't complete with walking along the boardwalk bordering the Swinomish Channel. Watch the boats go by and greet all the dogs and their owners. A favorite shop is the Wood Merchant which is more like a woodcraft museum. Another favorite for jewelry and scarves is the Caravan Gallery. Merchandise is from all over the world.
