There are hiking trails at the park, but we usually drive to the top for stunning views over Puget Sound and the Skagit Valley.

Then a walk down the gravel road and between two bodies of water leads to an island with a gravel road, a level path on the south side, and a scenic hiking trail on the north side. They both lead to a wonderful beach. There is a large level field for playing of picnics. Washington Discovery Pass required or $10 day pass.

A favorite shop is the Wood Merchant which is more like a woodcraft museum. Another favorite for jewelry and scarves is the Caravan Gallery. Merchandise is from all over the world.
