At the end of the street you'll find this café. It has a nice livingroom ambiance. The grilled cheese sandwiches are my favorite. For everyone who wants to have breakfast or lunch outside but still want to stay close.

With a big lawn in the middle, this parc attracts a lot of people for a spontaneous picnic. Compared to the other big parc in the city, Vondelpark, the visitors of this parc are more mixed. Inside you'll also find several nice bars and restaurants.

Shopping

A couple of years ago this shopping street got an award for being the nicest and most varied shopping street of the Netherlands. In times of big brands and companies, this shoppingstreet still has a lot of shops with a specific and specialised assortment. From vintage clothes and furniture to a store full of cookbooks, there is a lot to discover.

Essentials

Maybe not as special as you are looking for, but very convenient. All the basic groceries you can find here. Albert Heijn is one of the biggest supermarketchains in the Netherlands. Although the stores in Amsterdam are a little bit smaller then average, they still have a big variety of products. If you're planning to cook yourself during your stay, this is the most convenient store to buy your groceries. And otherwise it can be nice to buy some snacks and refreshments.

If you're more into bio and local foods, this supermarket is the alternative for Albert Heijn. Products are a bit more expensive, but a good quality is what you get in return.

Arts & Culture

After many years of reconstruction, it's one of the best and biggest museums to go when you're interested in Dutch history. Besides the famous "Night watch", you'll find many other beautiful paintings. The museum is quite efficient, so there are in general no long queues to get inside.
