One of the restaurants where you can enjoy a special food in Ho Chi Minh city. That is my famous food "Com Tam". Cơm tấm, or broken rice, is a Vietnamese dish made from rice with fractured rice grains. Tấm refers to the broken rice grains, while cơm refers to cooked rice.[1][2] Although there are varied names like Cơm tấm Sài Gòn (Saigon-style broken rice), particularly for Saigon, the main ingredients remain the same for most cases.

Drinks & Nightlife

Pham Ngu Lao Street in Ho Chi Minh City is on the western edge of District 1 and is renowned as the place where most backpacking travelers stay during their holiday. Set along these alleyways are western-style restaurants, coffee shops, and international bars, countless tour companies and kiosks, affordable motels, hostels and guesthouses (as well as many of the so-called ‘mini-hotel’ buildings usually with six to seven floors, rarely offering an elevator), internet cafes, pharmacies, and souvenir-and-craft shops.

The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden, established in 1865, is Vietnam's largest zoo and botanical garden. Located on Nguyen Binh Khiem Street in District 1, T.P. in Ho Chi Minh City, it is home to over a hundred species of mammals, reptiles and birds, as well as many rare orchids and ornamental plants.[1] It also contains the Museum of Vietnamese History, which houses 25,000 documents of history, culture and ethnography from the country's history and the culture and history of South Vietnam, and a monument to Vietnamese people who were killed in World War I. The Ben Thanh Traditional Market (Cho Ben Thanh) is the most famous shopping destination in the city. This is not the cheapest market in the city but it has a good reputation, a central location and a history. The market was first set up as an informal gathering of vendors and was then organized by the French into a formal market in 1859. In 1870 a fire destroyed the market and it was rebuilt. The whole market was moved in 1912 to the new building and renamed The New Ben Thanh Market. The building received a facelift in 1985. Just outside the market is a hub of public transport.
