I heard the service is slow... call ahead... 40 minutes (because it's cooked to order and wildly popular) but they make great "soul food"... which around Boston means Caribbean influenced, BBQ/Burgers/Chicken and waffles. Plum Island has a town beach with lifeguards and random lots to park in for a classic beach day. To the south, Parker River National Wildlife preserve and Sandy Point State park have self guided trails and some fun beach sections but much of the beach is closed for bird habitat. A place to hike, swim, bird watch or surf fish.
