Three Creek Lake generally opens in June - the road is closed until then. Great spot for fishing and enjoying the lake. No motors, and there is a little store where you can get essentials and rent a row boat. There are generally eagles to be seen. Can be mosquitoey in the trees or at dusk and dawn.

The road is closed usually until some time in June. But is open to cyclists before the road opens and is a great ride once they've plowed it! A must see, the observatory and surrounding landscape (think moonscape) is divine!
