OK - the food here is amazing. Amazing enough to be worth the 1-2 hour wait you might have for a table, trust me. Just go down stairs and get rowdy on some cocktails in Go-Go, the connected bar below. The time flies.

Out of this world Mexican. Expect a long wait on the stairs for a table, but totally worth it. Stay as long as you can. Make them bleed.

Not so much a restaurant, more a bistro X bar X deli, they have INCREDIBLE food here. The pulled pork roll & meatball wrap especially. Great vibes (except saturday nights - there's a club night on upstairs).

Look, I've been to many Markets in Melbourne, and whilst Queen Vic is iconic, South Melbourne is the cleanest and best by a country mile.

A Melbourne classic, this tiny little bar is hidden down a dirty laneway. Don't be put off by the bins, instead look up and see Kim K & Emily Ratakowski larger than life (and topless).

My personal #1 favourite spot in Melbourne. Nestled under a bridge on the Yarra, this has got to be one of the coolest bars I've visited in the /world/. Yep. Look out for their mulled wine in winter - it's a dream come true.

How could you miss this iconic place. Brace yourself for the six flights of stairs, or wait for the lift. Some hipsters might beat you to the Best Table though.

OK, it's a backpackers bar. But it's dirty and cheap and has a balcony and pool tables. What more could you ask for?!

Parks & Nature

Melbourne's famous "beach"! It's nothing compared to Sydney beaches, but it provides a beautiful view of the city and the Boardwalk is cool for a stroll with a quiet cafe at the end.
