Sightseeing
One of my favorite beaches and close to the cottage. Spectacular views of the dunes and a great place for a long walk or jog. Less developed than Platte Point. You can pick-up the Platte Plains trail here.

A short drive from the cottage, this beach also has terrific views of the dunes. Kids love to play in the creek that flows gently into Lake Michigan.

A fun place to play lawn games and catch some live music. At times they have had food trucks with good wood fired pizzas, but I think they've opened their kitchen--I have yet to try the fare. They offer it all: Mead, Wine, and Beer. I don't recommend the reds :(

TC-A must stop for you coffee lovers. I myself prefer a soy latte, and their honey latte in particular. You can take in the views of the Boardman River and a bit of Grand Traverse Bay from the deck.

There is also a location in Interlochen that one local recommends, and another in Beulah (although I prefer to skip the news that is constantly blaring at that location).
