Food Scene

I love breakfast and brunch and Snooze knocks it out of the park! Getting a seat is first-come, first-serve (no reservations) and there is often a bit of a wait. The restaurant is a five-minute drive (free parking in the lot and on the street), or a 20 minute walk. Solo travelers can usually find a spot at the counter/bar, others may want to get their name on the list and mosey to Trader Joe's or Stargazer Fine Chocolates for any necessities, or just take a stroll further west down 7th Avenue Parkway until their table is ready.

"The Aurora Fox Arts Center, a historic landmark located at 9900 East Colfax in the Aurora Cultural Arts District, is the city’s performing arts center. The Aurora Fox is a 245-seat performing arts facility with attached rehearsal and scenery shop facilities. A former movie theatre that was built in 1946, the Aurora Fox was completely renovated and reopened in March of 1985. The Aurora Fox offers the residents of the Denver metro area professional, Broadway-quality performances in a smaller, intimate accessible performing space. Our goals are to bring new plays to the metro region for both our main stage and black box Studio Theatre. The children’s season provides opportunities for young actors to perform in a professional environment."

Entertainment & Activities

The Sie Film Center is described as a "Modern, cozy not-for-profit theater showing obscure, arty movies along with events & symposia." The annual award-winning Denver Film Festival in November is FANTASTIC, as are the other niche mini-festivals throughout the year. The Denver Film Society operates the film center and also produces the popular summer movies series, Film on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The popcorn is yummy and you can grab a drink inside at Henderson's Lounge to take into the theater.
