So Many Beautiful Beaches

Norfolk and Suffolk have beautiful coastlines and some wonderful beaches. There are vast expanses of sand for walking along the water's edge, bird watching and taking in stunning views to the sea. There are popular deckchair beaches like Hunstanton, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft for family time, paddling, building sand castles and flying kites and others are totally unspoilt and more tranquil. Many of them are waving Blue Flags, showing that they have the highest standard of cleanliness, safety and environment management.

This beech is quieter than Wells, Cromar and Sheringham but equally good, there is a small coffee shop and arcades near the car park. This a great accessible walk to Hunstanton approximately 3 miles.

East & West Runton beaches are tucked away between Sheringham and Cromer, these are shingle beaches levelling out to sand when the tide is out and great for rock pooling and beech combing at the base of the cliffs. Both beaches have been awarded Blue Flag status. Cafe and car parks are close by.

The best Beach in North Norfolk, the walk to the beach from the Harbour is one that me and my family have enjoyed several times (or you can do it by the narrow gauge railway). At the end of this walk you have the option of a tree lined woodland walk that runs parallel to the beach or the most gorgeous sandy Beach. The Beach or the woodland walks are not greatly accessible by a wheelchair user, however you can do some of the woodland walk using a wheelchair. There is a café at the end of the Harbour-Beach walk that does good coffee.

One of Suffolk's secret hideaways. A few miles south of Lowestoft, it is off the beaten track and not the easiest to access but worth the effort. Backed by cliff and scattered with driftwood, it is a peaceful as it gets.

Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve
The perfect playground for children and windsurfers with vast swathes of sand when the tide is out. The main beach has won a national Seaside Award underlining its appeal as a family destination. The rock pooling beach below the cliffs to the north is always quieter especially so along the dunes at Old Hunstanton.
