Fine example of turn-of-the century architecture. Once a department store (you can still see the original shelving & display units), the building now holds temporary exhibitions & a sweet permanent collection of paintings & porcelain.

The Complex Monumental de Santiago da Guarda is a fine example of the use of architecture through the ages. It looks like a good example of Manueline architecture, but in fact hides exquisite Roman mosaics from the IV & V centuries & a Baroque chapel.
