For Russian speakers there are loads of general networking events, IT networking events, games (mafia and board games) as well as art and psychology workshops and plenty more can by found on various Tele Gram channels, like Cyproplan, Events in Cyprus, Friday Club and others.
Getting around

I'd recommend hiring a car. It's cost-effective, comfortable (hello, air conditioning!), and gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Can compare prices on Carflexi site.
Buses? They're available, but run infrequently—only a couple of times a day between cities and airports, and hourly or every few hours in the city and few routes. Taxis are also an option but can be quite pricey.
Feeling active? City centres are great for walking or biking, but remember, Cyprus can get hot during the day, especially in summer!
