The Drake is really popular, it's a cafe, restaurant and bar, often events going on somewhere in the building. It can be a bit pricey if that's a concern, but the food is great and the patio is lovely for brunch.

Also a hotel, cafe, bar, event space and restaurant. The Gladstone doesn't have great food, but it's super close and there is often pretty cool events going on, like Karaoke, TV quizzes, drag nights, queer events, literary events, fundraisers etc... There is nearly always something going on.

This is a bar owned by a friend of mine. It's probably considered a queer dive bar in the most loving of ways. They have bored games, reasonably priced drinks and a generally enjoyable atmosphere of kitschy art and eccentric locals.

Parks & Nature

On weekends people grab some tall cans and some snacks and chill in the park all day and night. It's important to be discreet with the drinking, but everyone's doing it here. Also nice to just chill, have a coffee and lay in the shade while looking up at the CN Tower.

A really beautiful new park in Toronto, you can watch planes take off and land at Billy Bishop airport, gaze at sail boats going by, and sit watching Lake Ontario.
