Food Scene

Absolutely phenomenal service, and food. The dessert is brilliant, and they even had some lovely ports and santorini wine (vin de santo). The staff is super friendly and attentive. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and looking for an upscale meal.

“Tucked away in the Rose Hill Shopping Center, Namaste is easy to miss, but shouldn't be driven past without a visit!

The United States Capitol, often called the Capitol Building or Capitol Hill, is the seat of the United States Congress, the legislative branch of the U.S. federal government. It sits atop Capitol Hill, at the eastern end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Though not at the geographic center of the Federal District, the Capitol forms the origin point for the District's street-numbering system and the District's four quadrants.

Arts & Culture

The Torpedo Factory Art Center, as the name implies, was once a naval munitions factory that was converted to become an art center. Just across the bridge from Washington, DC, it's located on the banks of the Potomac River at 105 North Union Street in Old Town of Alexandria, Virginia. The Torpedo Factory Art Center is home to the largest number of publicly accessible working artist studios in the U.S. Each year, more than a half-million national and international visitors meet and interact with the community of artists. It houses more than 82 artists' studios, 7 galleries and two workshops, with some 165 professional visual artists who produce a diversity of artwork, ranging from painting, ceramics, photography, jewelry, stained glass, fiber, printmaking, and sculpture.

Love this local theater because it's fairly new, has a great layout and the staff is very friendly. I've seen the following plays here.. -Hairspray -Miss Saigon and many others to keep track of I've even gotten something to eat at their cafe ahead of time and had it waiting for me during intermission. Their grilled cheese bacon is pretty good I must say.

Parks & Nature

A great little gem tucked away in a residential area of Northern Virginia. Small, but beautiful. Hiking trails, a paved bike road, creeks, a river, and a wetland area are all great for kids to spend a few hours exploring. You forget that you are in suburbia the minute you step onto the trail.
