One of only a handful outside of the Midwest. The flavor packed into the burgers is really nothing short of amazing. You must try the homemade root beer and the custard. Oh, the custard.

Sometimes you just want to get away from the apartment and just drink coffee and relax people watching. This place is for the locavore Austinite and open 24/7. Free wifi and a cool back space to walk.

It is next to Town Lake walking trail for a nice urban trail or cool off at Barton Springs pool. walking trails are more nature oriented, you'd hardly believe you were in the city. Near the Greenbelt.

This is the most authentic Mexican (not Tex-Mex) restaurant I have discovered in Austin. The first thing you notice is the pastries, which are fresh daily. Thank yourself with the tamales or tacos.YUM

Sightseeing

A natural springs swimming pool set amongst trees, rocks and beauty. It's a must for a hot day. Just remember that because this water is fed from the springs, so it's pretty much a constant 68 degrees

This is the flagship Whole Foods. Totally worth an exploration with its food stands, dizzying aisles, and open skating rink during the winter. One of my favorite places to people watch.
