Columbia heights is closest metro station to reach the mall; frequent busez 42, S1, S8 are a very short walk from the house and will get you quickly downtown and to Dupont circle (click on bus stop on google maps for exact times). H1,H2, H4 buses will get you in a few minutes to red line metro (Cleveland Park)
