There’s a few Mimi’s bake houses in Edinburgh, including one in Leith. The cakes are INCREDIBLE and they do a nice brunch too. Book in advance as they’re usually quite busy. Loads of kids/babies and can be quite noisy so not a good idea if you’ve had a late one the night before 😏

For Harry Potter geeks - this is the street where JK Rowling got her inspiration for Diagon Alley. If you’re in the area at lunchtime we recommend “Oink” which serves up pulled pork rolls 🤤

There is no shortage of places to go during the Edinburgh festival however Bristo Square and George Square Gardens (located 2 mins from one another) are the biggest/busiest spots. There’s always loads of food options and there are hundreds of shows (ran by Underbelly and Assembly) to choose from on any given day. A bottle of Prosecco is about £35 so I recommend buying an £8 bottle from the local shop and sneaking it in 😏
