Fun place to have cocktails, dinner and enjoy a round or two of croquet. The bar sits on the water and hosts various tasty elixir's. Dinner isn't bad at the hotel either, a tad expensive.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Hiking, Biking & LL Bean

There are numerous hiking trails throughout the island of varying degrees of difficulty. Some of our favorites include, the Penobscot Trail, The Bubbles, Jordan Pond and the carriage trails. Little long pond is a very scenic and wonderful flat walk that permits well behaved dogs off leash. There are numerous Biking trails to enjoy, and biking into town is easier than you might think. Once in town use the LL BEAN free bus to get around. The bus will take you all around the island and has many drop off and pick up points, including Schoodic Point!
