Neighbourhoods

Park at the Wheale Coates National Trust car park, never full, and visit the old tin mine ruin and walk to Chapel Porth beach on the left. Quite tricky in places 20 minute walk along the coast path, take care. Chapel Porth beach has a little cafe, mostly open in summer if sunny! There are dangerous rips here, and people can get lost out to sea and don’t come back. It looks perfect but it’s the worst beach in the area - plea beware! There are lifeguards so do not swim or board there by yourself. Low tide is idyllic, high tide is no beach.

Shops

Nice area to visit on a quick walk is Wheal Kitty with a cafe, the canteen restaurant and a finisterre shop.
