Traveler advice

Getting around

Walk and bike everywhere

We are in a great walkable and bikeable location for nearly all amenities in town. Although we are across the highway from downtown, there 2 nearby signaled crossings for pedestrians and a nearby path under the bridge if you wish to send children to explore independently.
Don't miss

The town trails are nearby

We are in a perfect location to catch the city trail system and explore the riverfront and neighbourhoods
Don't miss

Float the river

The recommended access point to float the river in the summer is from the bridge at Canadian Tire, and exit at the town boat launch. This will provide a 30-minute float, depending on river conditions. Or get out at the Bridge Bistro and simply walk home! Canadian Tire is the best spot to purchase an inflatable.
Don't miss

Wednesday night socials

The best way to check out the locals and spend a warm summer evening is to attend our Wednesday Night Socials at the Arts Station downtown. Live music, fresh beverages and local food trucks. A perfect event for all ages.
Traveling with kids

Pubs welcome children until 9 pm

There are very few establishments in town limited to adults only, children are welcome in all establishments that serve food until 9pm
