Sightseeing

St. Elmo is a semi-restored 1800s ghost town. The general store has souvenirs, treats, and food for the chipmunks that live across the street. A local favorite, you can stroll down the old sidewalks and look in windows of the old houses that line the streets.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Speed Limits

Be mindful of your speed while you explore our town. Main Street is 15 mph from the light all the way to the river park. Keep an extra close eye out for pedestrians crossing, as well.

Rafting

All of the rafting companies in BV are good. There are strict safety standards in place that every company has to abide by. However, there are some locally trusted companies that are local standards, and we highly recommend you use them. Noah's Ark, River Runners, Kodi Rafting, Performance Tours, Wilderness Aware, and American Adventure Expeditions.
