Beautiful and fun setting (you will have a chance to meet a rare breed of Belted Galloway grass-fed cows!), delicious charcutier platter, bbq sliders and, of course, spiked (or non-spiked) cider. Ask the owners to allow you to walk around the property - it is beautiful. Ask for a tour ($10) of a Dupont mansion.

If you do not mind a 30 minute drive, go to the Belle Isle State park. It has a beautiful stretch of beach right near the parking lot. Lots of hiking trails. On your way back stop for a bite and drink at The Corner in Lively.

Short lovely in and out Baylor Park trail along the pond - just minutes away in Kilmarnock. Keep in mind that the entrance from a street is hardly visible.
