Elkhorn Slough

Go to the Kayak Connection or Monterey Bay Kayaks on Moss Landing Harbor to rent a kayak you can take out on the slough to see the otters up close or just view the seals and otters from the edge of the harbor.

Pajaro Dunes Resort

Walk the miles of beaches right outside our building to view the wildlife or to swim and surf on the Monterey Bay. Fishing is allowed with a license. Go south past the private homes to the mouth of the Pajaro River where the river meets the sea.

Pinnacles National Park

Some easy and mostly challenging hikes into a spectacular, remote and uncrowded mountainous area east of the Salinas Valley which is home to California condor. Check the National Park website for operating status.
